Player Glorfindel_II Name Christopher Ellison Streetname Blur Archetype Decker Race Human Sex Male Date of Birth 24-08-2030 Status Healthy SIN Unknown Description   Personality Blur was born into a corporate environment, and was raised there until he and his mother were expelled from all corporate housing facilities. Therefore he has learned some important basics like English, some history and some Japanese [Hey, it's Renraku,...need I say more?]. Blur is a somewhat uncertain man, because of all the misery he has gone through. When at work he will hide this by being extremely "present". His persona on the matrix reflects that, he is iconized as a hyperactive streetpunk. Blur will be careful in trusting other people, streetlife has taught him not to trust people all too easy, Blur especially hates Renraku for what they did to his father and he is ware of all other corporations too, as a result of this and his previous assignments. History Born in 2030 in Seattle as son of a brilliant scientist working for Renraku, who helped set up the Matrix as we know it today. His mother was a wageslave, also working for Renraku Corp. In 2041 Blur's father was fired from Renraku company and assassinated because he knew too much, as a result of this act Blur and his mother were thrown out of company grounds. They were forced to live on the street for a while where his mother had to prostitute to earn enough to maintain herself and her son. Blur's mother got addicted to BTL's because of all the misery she and her son were put through. Blur's mother was a prostitute for the Yakuza and in order to be able to bear her work she became a "bunraku", which enabled her to switch personalities. Her alter ego then got hooked on BTL's that the same Yakuza gave her in order to control her. When Blur finally found out what was going on he decided he wanted to become a shadowrunner in an effort to save his mother from her addiction to BTL's and earn a living so that his mother could stop prostituting. Blur decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a decker. With his father's notes [the one who had taught him about the Matrix] Blur was able to learn quite a bit of the way the Matrix was constructed and where security leaks were likely to be. He also learned how to use weapons from one of his mother's regular customers. After 5 years of training Blur thought the time had come to start his work as a true shadowrunner. His first assignment, in 2051, looked fairly simple and paid well. As a tool for his new profession, one of his "colleagues" from his first shadowrun paid him in hardware - his first MPCP. During his first run, a sabotage mission in which the rest of the team consisted of street samurais and a rigger to transport the group to the site and back, Blur got wounded by an ICE attack when trying to hack into the onsite security system. The rest of their mission was a failure, because one of their teams still tried to break in even though the the security system was still up. As a result of that rash action the team was assaulted by a bunch of security drones. One of the sammies was killed in action and the rest decided to flee and hide in the shadowy alleys of the Seattle Sprawl. With a small amount of money and a lot of rest Blur was able to repair his gear and heal himself. He was very aware of the error he made when trying to hack the security system, he acted too naive and that had fragged him up badly. He decided to make a few enhancements to his body to be able to handle the large amount of actions required to hack a system and to still be aware of any oncoming threats. After the first assignment and the downtime period, Blur accepted a new run that paid far less, but allowed for him to explore the Matrix and test his skills and new technical enhancements. During these assignments Blur was trained by a Streetsamurai who called himself Mad Max. He learned Blur how to use weaponry, such as pistols and shotguns and taught Blur some hand-to-hand combat techniques. In 2056 Blur got a somewhat heavier assignement. The shadowrun team he was with got an run to steal an important file from Cross Applied Technologies, then still a young corp. This assignement went well and for the first time everything turned out in favor of the tam. The security failed miserably when trying to stop them from stealing the file and this run provided Blur with some extra cred to upgrade his hardware, jack his system and buy some new codebreakers.
