"With standard boosted reflexes, you've got to drop tiny little devices called 'initiators' right into the cortex of the adrenal glands -- the suprarenals -- and other glands. When you want to kick into overdrive, a neuro-electrical interface picks up the appropriate neural activity -- the 'go-code,' as it were -- and triggers control chips implanted in the brain, which then activate the initiators. Your suprarenals pour out adrenaline, and you get jazzed ... Installing standard 'wired' or boosted reflexes is an enormously invasive procedure ... Interface, control chips, and initiators, plus all the support technology, 'glue chips', and wiring to get them to hang together. It's even more invasive than skillwires or even muscle replacement -- and that's saying a lot." - 2XS

The world of 2060 is filled to the brim with technological innovations. You can't turn your ass without bumping into a trid-screen that will show you the newest and latest in cybermodifications coming straight out of the Chiba labs. Wether it the newest Carl Zeiss cybereyes to remedy myopia, or a datajack which allows you to neurally jack into your four door sedan, or a chipjack so you can slot those prime linguasofts, or a some reflex boosters to help you with your basketball game; nowadays everyone has found a use for cyberware.

This archive holds everything you need to know about cyberware. From social implications, to a description of what you can expect of the different grades of quality cyberware that's out there. Any scrap of information we can find and that we deem important about different products or grades of cyberware we'll put up for your viewing enjoyment.

If you've heard some information about a piece of cyberware that the corps don't want you to know about - like those nasty side effects of that electro-chemical treatment Fuchi was selling for less than dirt back in '57 - or if you know any good places where you can get chipped without you having to show any ID, or even if you want to give a prime review on some of the new products out on the street, then you can contribute by sending your comments here. We'll make it worth your while.
