The first thing that we noticed was that Abel has a small muscular sac implanted in the lower abdominal cavity and is connected to each of the suprarenal, or adrenal, glands. When dormant, the pump serves as a reservoir for adrenaline and noradrenaline. When activated, the sac contracts, sending a surge of concentrates into the blood stream. Stress and other emotional states such as anger, fear or lust will activate the pump. The actual "combat effectiveness of the pump is variable, as the effects produced by hormones depend both on the amount secreted and the responsiveness of the tissue in question. The pump seems to suffer from a light form of stress and irritation which may result in twitchiness in Abel's physique.
Abel seems to have a new set of replacement eyes, vat-grown and specially designed to incorporate a structure that amplifies light and enhances the user's night vision. The number of light-sensitive rods and detail-enhancing cones in the eye are also increased. Like the eyes of a cat, this bioware incorporates a mirror-like organ in the cornea that reflects lights towards the retina. Under low-light conditions these eyes seem to be reflective and glow in the dark.
A sac, lined with specialized and genetically tailored cells designed to produce a single naturally occurring compound - which seems to be a strong anesthetical chemical, most likely methyl trichloride - which is stored until used by specialized sphincters implanted in the neck, above the larynx. When triggered by a massive diaphragm contraction causing a deep breath inhalation, followed by a strong exhaling action, the sphincters open and the compound is exhaled, much like an aerosol. To prevent accidental injury from the internalized chemical, Abel has been partially immunized against it.
We've found products of extensive procedures of joint-surface coating, relubrication and tendon and ligament augmentation designed fully for fluid muscle and joint action. Because of this he seems to be immune to many arthritic conditions and is able to move with terrible grace and speed, if need be.
An extensive, and severe form of muscle augmentation has taken place where biological weaving treatments, special vat-grown muscle cables are braided into existing muscle fibers, enhancing the muscle's mass and preformance. Abel is most likely, as strong as an ox, literally. He also has a lot of elastic muscle fibers incorporated into the existing muscle tissue, increasing msucle tension and flexibility, he'll most likely be extremely quick and limber.
His blood seems to be laced with cell fragments that play a vital role in blood clotting, which seem to increase the body's ability to handle damage by selectively accelerating the production of platelets within bone marrow. More platelets in the blood-stream help to lessen the trauma from large wounds, as bleeding quickly stops and clots.
On top of the existing thyroid gland there seems to be an overlaying gland that seems to be regulating it. This extra gland supersedes the metabolic functions of the thyroid, optimizing catabolism [the breakdown of complex substances, such as starches into sugars] and anabolism [the chemical conversion of substances, such as construction of complex sugars]. The altered metabolism produces more energy and effectively supercharges Abel. With the higher levels of energy available, he might seem prone to hyper-activity. He must ingest twice as much food and drink than a normal person to fuel the higher metabolic rate.
The metahuman liver is the body's main organ for catabolism [the breakdown of complex substances, such as starches into sugars]. As such, it is the first line of defense against potentially toxic compounds and drugs. There seems to be a specially cultivated cluster of cells implanted in the liver to greatly improve the efficiency and to expand the spectrum of catabolic activity. Potential toxins that make their way into the bloodstream are filtered out in the liver and with the aid of the cells they are broken down into harmless fragments and then expelled.
And last, but not least, his neural cells, which make up the spinal cord and other main nerve trunks, are encourage to replicate and lengthen. This produces a wider "datapath" for the transmission of impulses and decreases the amount of time required for the signal to traverse the distance to Abel's brain and back. Thus, more data can be sent from an received by the brain in a shorter period of time.
Further, we've found some strange muscle tissue here and there, some odd cell structures and some irregular stem-cell patterns. That is all we could find.]<<<<<
