I still got a fair chunk of it, so I'm showing that to you now. Do with it as you will, I can't guarantee it's validity.]<<<<<

>>>>>[The year started out difficult with riots in the streets of the entire UCAS when word was out that the 2056 election was rigged. Indictments against President Steele and VP Booth (the latter was released due to inconclusive evidence) for election fraud and bribery led to social unrest that spilled out into the streets.

Adam, a well-dressed assassin living in Seattle, finds himself on the wrong end of a contract. A friend of his, Pusher, is the one to execute the contract for an, as of yet, unknown party. Pusher informs Adam of this and later on asks for a meet at their regular meeting place Breaktime, a small lunchroom on the fringes of the Seattle downtown area. Pusher shows up, battered and bruised and tells him that the contract was changed a little. Apparently the party who issued out the contract was approached by the Seattle Yakuza and forced into accepting a more lenient contract: they would get one shot at Adam's head, with the killer of their choice (with the exception of Pusher) and if their killer failed, they would give up. They accepted the Yakuza offer and sent a young killer named Artemis after him.

Artemis placed a call several days later to Adam's pager saying: "Meet at the old church on 3200 Armitage Street, Renton. - Pusher". Adam went there, a little weary because that was not the usual place for them to meet, and found Artemis waiting in an abandoned church ready to kill him.

That same day, Leto, a young fugetive entered Seattle and through a priest managed to find residence in the old abandoned church on Armitage Street. He attacked the two, Adam and Artemis, when fighting it out in the old church. He managed to bring them both down and tied them up. After some consultancy with the priest, Leto decided to let them fight it out on even terms. Adam won.

Some time later, Adam, Leto and some others went on a mission for a Yakuza boss named Heiachi Nakamura, the father of Eddie Nakamura who is in turn a friend of Adam. Heiachi had arranged for the contract on Adam's head to be negated. Adam dealt with Miko Ishikawa, a female representative of Heiachi Nakamura. She told him that he would have to assassinate a gang leader holing up in a large tenement in the Puyallup Barrens.

With a few complications aside, the deal was sound and everyone stood to make a lot of money. When penetrating the gang's headquaters they were aided by an elf named Nucleus, a mage who worked in a team led by an orc named Roadblock, an aquaintance of Nina who was one of the runners.

Roadblock's team aided the runners in getting that deep into the Puyallup Barrens by providing helicopter travel and support. The runners penetrated the large building and made their way towards the gangleader's hideout, an office-like room with view over a wide room with a high ceiling that functioned as a night-club for the gang. They attacked, things got out of hand and a few people got hurt,...including Leto. And that's where it all started.

Leto was on the point of death and was magically healed by Nucleus. His near death experience triggered a whole chain of events that led to a rather strange conclusion. Confused? Just hang on a little.

Leto managed to get back on top a little but when he was alone in a hotel-room he got assaulted by an invisible entity. He was lifted up out of his bed and whipped with an invisible whip. He could hear the whip-crack and the wounds are still evident on his back. Neither mundane nor magical healing will make them go away.

The next day he asked Nucleus for advice and he told him that he was attacked by what he thought was a spirit. He also asked Father Flannagan for advise but Flannagan seemed distant and apprehensive. It seemed nobody had an answer.

One night, when Leto was sleeping over at Nina's appartment he had a vision. I won't go into detail what that vision was, you will have to ask him yourself, but it was of a man, a man later identified through third parties as Lucifer.

Leto heard from the members of a local gang, Bowzer and Blitz of the Blood Mountain Boyz, that an skinny arabian man in a faded, blue Animal Shelter van was watching the church.

The next run wasn't difficult in theory but proved to be a bitch to execute, the group had to retrieve a datarecorder from a cybernetically enhanced gorilla, an experiment running rampant in Redmond. The Johnson was a man called Mr. Darke, someone who knew way too much about Adam, Nina and most importantly; Leto. He addressed Leto by the title: "Sanctus Vitae Secundus".

Darke also had Adam followed frequently by a large bald man, later identified as Burnout, that seemed only to observe, never to attack or interfere, unless Adam provoked him.

The gorilla was easily found and in dispatching it, Leto got terribly hurt again. He was brought to Dr. Maplethorpe and patched up. He wasn't able to do anything about what followed; Nina was approached by a man who called himself Morden who wanted to buy the data on the recorder from them for a handsome amount of money. He claimed to be a representative of Novatech. The gorilla also turned out to be a Novatech experiment. Later a representative of Shiawase wanted to buy the data as well. The group decided to go into business with all of three of them. They delivered the info to Morden and continued to the meet with Darke.

The meet was scheduled on top of the, still to be finished, Novatech Seattle headquaters. They flew out there with Roadblock's support and met with Mr. Darke. He had also arrived there with a dark sleek looking black helicopter. Before he accepted the datarecorder he asked them a question: "You are not selling this information to anyone else, are you? And before you answer take a look at this...". The door to the helicopter slided open and Burnout came out (the first time they linked Burnout to Darke...shock, horror) carrying two dead, mutilated, broken bodies; that of the Shiawase representative and his assistant. Nina kept her mouth shut and walked off with the cred.

Meanwhile, Nucleus, who was asked by Leto, since he couldn't be at the meet, to act as a backup in case things went wrong, was standing on another building spying on them all. He witnessed how when both helicopters left, another came to pick up the two bodies. It was a Shiawase helicopter, but the people that came out were under Morden's supervision.

The following day they were contacted by someone from Shiawase who said he would fill the role of the representative now that he was "on leave for an undeterimened length of time". He also said that they were actually Novatech and that they would still be willing to purchase the data. They appologized for the guise, but they told the runners that it was necessary. Tired and confused they didn't care and accepted the bulldrek story.

Flex, who had also received a copy for his decryption of the data from the datarecorder posted the information on Shadowland because of it's content. It basically said that Novatech had experimented with how far you can push a body by implementing cyberware before it gives way. They had found out that Gorilla's had a much better resistance to the implementation of cyberware but because of the feral nature it was very hard to control them due to the fact that they became progressively more aggressive. Novatech had experimented with transplanting a human brain to a Gorilla's body and then loading it up with cyberware. That way they wanted to keep a measure of control over the animal. The human test subjects had been taken off the Redmond streets and NOT willing, that was their big secret.

Due to Flex posting the info on Shadowland, the runners found it a wise idea to hide out for a little while so they could rest and wait out the ensuing problems. No problems arose and after a couple of weeks Leto came back to his church. There he was attacked for a second time by an invisible force. This time he wasn't whipped but he could hear the sound of nails being hit by a hammer. Large holes appeared in both his wrists.

When the attack ended, as quickly as it had begun, Leto was lying in a large pool of his own blood with two large holes in his wrists. Again he called Nucleus who went over to keep an eye on him. Slowly it began to dawn on Leto that the wounds might have a more spiritual meaning.

Meanwhile, Six, a newbie in the Seattle Shadows, was approached by Nina to do a job for someone calling himself Dark Fang. She was supposed to meet them in a diner and did so. She was offered to keep an eye on the well-being of a man called Leto in return for money. She accepted the offer and went on her way. She was later contacted by Nucleus, whom she knew, to come and get an introduction to Leto. This was apparently arranged by Dark Fang through Nucleus.

The guise was that she was supposed to probe Leto's mind and find out what exactly happened there in that church the second time he got attacked. There might have been something he forgot or suppressed. She met with Leto and Nucleus at the old church at 3200 Armitage St. and she probed him, finding out nothing more. The three of them got completely pissed that night and when they awoke that morning they found Nucleus gone. He had left a note saying that he had business.

When they, half dressed, came out into the church's main hall, they saw the large pool of Leto's blood hadn't dried up and was pulsing. Then they saw the blood ris*[Connection Terminated]]<<<<<
