Wednesday, May 10th, 2057, the runners decide to kidnap Bark to find out what his involvment is with Lucifer. Bark was brought to Charlie's house and stuffed in the old nuclear bomb shelter underneath his house. Despite the efforts of Nucleus and Six to ward the place in time against Lucifer's scrying eye, Lucifer found out them and disguised himself as Nucleus. A gruesome battle ensued that left a bunch of the runners wounded, and Charlie's house badly burned.
An interesting fact came up, Bark was a pawn in Lucifer's game and hardly what one could call a loyal follower - at least not in the way that the other followers were fanatical - and Lucifer came to kill Bark instead of rescue him. The runners kept him from getting killed and in return got the lowdown on Lucifer's operation and get cleared for this deal with LoneStar.
Later, when at Maplethorpe's, Mr. Darke came in, escorted by Burnout, and explained that Lucifer had been working for him. Lucifer was only to observe, never interfere, and watch the Sanctus Vitae Secundus. Convinced that he himself was the anti-christ, he wanted to prove himself to his followers by attacking the Santus Vitae Secundus. According to Darke, that was never the plan. He apologized and offered some payment, which Charlie took to repair his house. Then he left. Upon returning home, Charlie found the badly mutilated corpse of Lucifer in his bathtub.
