Halfway through the 2040's a young kid who went by the name Blitz managed to get in the good graces of an eagle shaman called Arend. Blitz had impressed Arend, who was the Warlord of the Blood Mountain Boys, the biggest go-gang in Renton, by kicking the shit out of one of the gang members who was raping his sister. As it happened, the gang member wasn't very well liked among the others, but he was respected for his hand-to-hand prowess and his daring stunts on a quad bike, which is why he hadn't been killed or kicked out by the others. As Blitz was tearing into him for touching his sister in a manner that was not befitting for anyone to touch another, Arend, his Warchief and several soldiers were watching him work. Moved by love for his wounded and battered sister he managed to fend off and seriously injured the ganger without interruption from his fellow gangmembers.
Arend, known for his intuitive approach to leadership and decision making, was impressed, and held his soldiers back from rushing in to help their brother. After Blitz came out on top, Arend approached and helped him take his sister to St. Mary's Hospital, and the beaten ganger was taken off. Blitz was considered initiated and part of the gang. It took a while for Blitz to get used to his new status in the neighbourhood, he himself coming from a middle-class family and not at all used to gangland life, but eventually he was taken in as a new soldier, taking the position of the one he beat for raping his sister. That ganger was never seen in Renton any longer.
Blitz quickly moved up in the gang and quickly became known as a great organiser. Nobody, however, forgot the beating he gave the ganger that touched his sister, so he was never underestimated by his peers. Because of his quick wit and solid intellect, Blitz was often involved in parleys and relations with outsiders. Often present when Arend negotiated and accepted jobs from the higher ups, (read: mafia, yakuza or any of the other established organised crime syndicates), he got to know the ropes, and quickly became one of the trusted advisors.
Years went by and Blitz forgot more and more of his proper highschool education, and was now tough as a Devil Rat. The Blood Mountain Boys were now lead by a triage: Arend, the shaman, the spirtual and nominal leader of the tribe-like group of 75+ hardcore go-gangers. Bowzer, the incredibly strong and agile Ork Warchief and general of the armies. And Blitz, the tactician and advisor.
During a fateful evening encounter with the Bellevue gang the 405 Hellhounds, on a cold night in 2047's bitter December, Arend was killed. The powerstruggle raged on for days, and the gang lost turf, power, respect and members, all of which had to be won back by the two men that came out on top as the new leaders of the Blood Mountain Boys go-gang; Bowser and Blitz.
During the years that followed the gang maintained their tribal identity, and they came back to full strength, but the family feeling that they once shared before was gone, there was a coldness, an edge, to ever soldier now, one that made the tougher, and more vile than any gang in the area. They picked a headquaters on Armitage street - close to the highway, so they could ride fast and hard - and in the middle of Renton, so they could spread their influence out as much as possible. They rode the streets and dominated most of Renton for years, until early 2057, when a midnight raid on their headquatres left Blitz dead, and Bowser severely wounded.
To this day Bowser doesn't know who ordered or executed the commando style raid on their appartment building, but he still harbors the hope that one day he'll find the ones responsible and exact his revenge. There is no current Warchief, because Bowser fills both that and the Warlord position, but much of the tribal culture of the Blood Mountain Boys is lost, and has been making place for cyberware, drugs and beetles. Working on shock and awe tactics, the gang has grown violent and careless, and rumours have it that the 405 Hellhounds and the Night Hunters are waiting for Bowser to make a mistake, to drop the ball, so they can move in and take everything that both Arend and Blitz spent so much time building. Everybody knows their downfall is inevitable...but nobody dares to leave, or speak up to Bowser.
