This building has fifteen stories, right in downtown Everett, being relatively dwarfed by the many budding upstart corporations’ headquarters in that area. With the influx of money and corporate attention to downtown Everett, the hotel got a lot of corporate and personal investment capital pushed its way. With that they renovated the hotel in 2055.
The Basement The building has two basement floors, one for the building’s facilities, like elevator maintenance, back-up power generator and water supply, which is on the lowest floor, and a parking garage, reachable from Pine Street through a ramp leading into, and underneath the building.
Ground Floor The ground floor is taken up by a rather lavish lobby area, with a receptions’ desk and a few offices facilitating the hotel’s daily business, as well as providing guests matrix services, private telecom and teleconferencing capability.
Mezzanine - 1st Floor This floor is completely surrounded by high, large windows that give a good few out onto the street and buildings around it. Here’s where people can gather and sit around in the comfortable sofas that have been provided by the hotel. It also has a semi-open balcony and terrace.
Bar - 2nd Floor This entire floor is a large bar, with dark tinted windows, giving it a nice and quasi-cozy atmosphere. There is a large bar in the middle of the room, booths around the side, another cocktail bar in the corner, and a stage on which a variety of performances are held each night.
Rooms - 3rd to 11th Floor Though the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel is luxurious, they have a legacy of being a mediocre hotel, and it’s been hard to upgrade the size of the rooms to accommodate their new luxury status. They have decked every room out with all the available luxuries, except that the rooms aren’t terribly large. The higher the floor number, the more space is provided, but it’s still not exceptional.
Offices - 12th Floor On the 12th Floor there are many different offices, meeting rooms and conference rooms.
Luxury Facilities - 13th Floor On the 13th floor there is a message parlor of quite some renown.
Restaurant - 14th Floor This floor is one large restaurant, with a view over many of the smaller buildings in the bedroom communities around Everett downtown.
Roof - 15th Floor The rooftop has a place for smokers to enjoy their vices as well as some nice botanical gardens where people can sit and read and enjoy the relatively clean Everett air. It also has a small helipad.
